Night Skincare Routine

Neutrogena oil-free eye makeup remover: I pour some of this onto a cotton ball and remove all my eye makeup. I then use the same cotton ball and wipe off my face makeup with the remaining product on the cotton ball.

Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam: This helps reduce and prevent acne. I take one pump of this and dab it all over my face. I then take my little silicone brush facial cleansing pad and massage my skin with the cleansing foam. I thought I was the only one using this technique because I assumed everyone was using the Clarisonic, but I recently watched Bubzbeauty's video on her current skincare routine and found out she uses this too. Her own is in a cute pink fish shape.

Laneige skin refiner for sensitive skin: I use this with a cotton ball. This is so gentle and moisturizing, I can never use too much of it. & it removes the extra dirt I didn't catch with my face wash.

Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion: I use this after my Laneige skin refiner. As you can see, I'm almost out of it again! I love this product and am afraid to stop using it since it helps keep my face clear. Since it's medicated with salicylic acid, I use it to prevent pimples from popping up.
Oriflame Ecollagen wrinkle filler: I use this on my laugh lines to help soften them and prevent them from getting worse. Or I could stop smiling and laughing all in all, but who wants that? ^_^

Naruko Eye Essence Cream: I dab this around my eyes using my ring finger. A little goes a long way.

Clinique Acne Solutions Emergency gel-lotion: It's all in the name. If I feel a pimple about to pop up, I dab this on the area and the forming pimple doesn't even get a chance to see daylight.

Products I Dislike # 1

Make-Up Designory Cream Foundation: I've had this for years, I saw the recent ones now have different font designs on the front. I had this when I first started using make-up. The sales woman put this on my face when she was doing my make-up and at first it looked great so I bought it. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I looked like a complete cake face. I tried putting it on using different techniques: by itself, with a damp sponge, and even as a concealer but none of the techniques worked for me.

Rimmel London Fix & Perfect Foundation Primer: It claims to minimize pores, smooth skin out, even out complexion, and prolong the wear of foundation. Out of all these, the only thing it does for me is even out my complexion because as you can see, it's tinted. It's a salmon shade and I don't really care for it because it doesn't match my skin tone and I put foundation over to cover it anyways.

Physician's Formula Concealer Twins: You first put the green side on, which is supposed to cancel out any redness, you then use the other side over those areas to cover the green shade. This concealer doesn't cover anything; It just blends away. I dislike the green side because I have to make sure I cover up the green tint that it leaves on my face and it just becomes a cakey mess.

E.L.F.'s Super Glossy Lip Shines: They're too sticky! I don't like sticky lip glosses.

E.L.F. All Over Cover Stick: I find this too thick that it gets cakey and it smells strong.

Formula 10.0.6 Mattifying Moisturizer: It doesn't mattify my face at all and it smells so bad! You can read my full review here

Swatch: Revlon Pink Chiffon

It's very sheer so I really had to pack it on to get it to its true color.
I forgot to take a photo of the base I used which was Milani's base coat.

Review: Missha M Perfect Cover B.B. Cream

I have the shade No. 21 light beige.
I love the fact that it has a pump.
As you can see after I blended it, it has a dewy finish.
Comparison of the left part which has no b.b. cream and the right part where I blended out the b.b. cream.

The Missha b.b. cream has great coverage; I would say it has medium coverage. I manage to put 2 layers of it on my face for more coverage. I never do that with my foundations because they cake up on me but I can get away with it with this b.b. cream.

This b.b. cream smells good. When I smelt it, I thought it smelt familiar. I figured it out; It smells like Johnson's baby powder.

As for its claims on whitening and wrinkle care, I don't notice any of those changes in my skin from using this so I can't say anything about that.

Overall, I really like this b.b. cream because it gives me great coverage without looking cakey. I do have oily skin so I blot my face with blotting sheets after applying this to remove the excess shine and then I finish it off with a face powder to get a matte finish.

Do you ladies have a b.b. cream that you would recommend? I'd love to know.

Review: NYX lip cream in Tokyo & blush in Peach

NYX blush in Peach
I just swirled my brush in the blush before I took this photo.
The blush doesn't have any shimmer or sheen to it. Those random specks are from eye shadows that I swatched earlier. I would say the color is more of a pink shade rather than peach, despite the name. I have oily skin and I noticed it faded a bit after 6 hours of wear but I still had a nice flush of color.

NYX soft matte lip cream in Tokyo
It has a doe foot applicator & to me, this lip cream smells like strawberry milk candy.

Eeek! As you can see, this lip cream accentuates the lines on my lips. I love this color so much but it is so drying!

Do you ladies know a lipstick or tinted lip balm in a shade similar to this one? If you do, please let me know because I've been searching for one for a long time now.

Top 11 of 2011

 1. Clinique Acne Solutions Clear Skin system: I'm kind of cheating, but I'm counting this whole skincare system as one. If you've been following me for a while, you already know how much I love this skincare line. These are my 3rd full size repurchases of these. It's the only line that works in clearing my acne. You can read my review here.

2.Cure Natural Aqua Gel: I didn't like this product before because I didn't feel that it helped exfoliate my skin well but as I kept using it, I started using more pumps on my skin which helped exfoliate my skin better. I love this for my dry patches. I just have to keep massaging the dry patches on my face until I'm sure they're gone. I can't stick to one pump like I did before because it wasn't enough product to exfoliate my dry patches.

3. Neutrogena oil-free eye makeup remover: This is my second bottle. It effectively removes my waterproof eye makeup.

 4. E.L.F. Glossy Gloss in Wild Watermelon: I love E.L.F.'s glossy glosses. I did a bunch of swatches of the glossy glosses in my past blog posts. They're not sticky at all and they're really pigmented. Wild Watermelon is the shade that I've been grabbing the most. You can see my lip swatch here.

5. Carmex moisturizing lip balm: I have so many back ups of this because it's so moisturizing. I love it!

 6. Burt's Bees Tinted Lip balm in Pink Blossom: I did a recent review on this here. It's moisturizing and the color is so pretty and natural. I love using this when I just need some color on my lips.
Left to right: E.L.F. glossy gloss in wild watermelon, Burt's Bees Pink Blossom tinted lip balm, Carmex lip balm (None of these have any sparkles, that's just the shine from the light that you see in this photo.)

7.  Maybelline Dream mousse concealer: This is my favorite concealer! I have no idea why they discontinued them. I do have back ups so I'm glad for that. I know you can still find them online. This concealer covers well and blends well. Other concealers that I've tried tend to just rub off when I try blending them into my trouble spots. This concealer actually stays put.

8. Physician's formula healthy wear powder foundation: Since I have oily skin, I try to look for powder foundations and this is my favorite so far. It just gives a natural light-medium coverage. It covers the redness of my face well. If I don't feel like wearing much makeup, I'll just put this on or use it on top of my maybelline concealer and I'm ready to go.

9. Wet n Wild eyeshadow trio in Walking on Eggshells: These are my go-to eyeshadow shades. They're gorgeous. I love how pigmented yet affordable this palette is. You can see my other Wet n Wild eyeshadow trio swatches here.

10. Milani powder blush in Pink Craze: This blush is so pigmented and it's definitely my favorite shade of blush. I did a blog post about it here.

11. E.L.F. nail polish in innocent: E.L.F. reformulated their nail polishes and I've been loving their new formula. They glide on easily and are opaque in just one coat. Innocent is my favorite out of all their shades.
